![]() BrushettaNannette Nussbaum Wilson 8/3/02 MCH 40th Reunion 1 baguette or sourdough loaf or can use Melba toasts 8 Roma tomatoes, chopped 3 Tbsp olive oil 2-3 cloves garlic, finely minced 1/2 C small onion, chopped 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar Italian seasoning (optional) Salt to taste 20 leaves fresh basil finely minced Cut French bread into ½" slices. Bake @ 350o F for 10 min; turn over and bake for 5-10 more. Remove from oven. When cool to touch, rub 1 surface with peeled garlic clove. Chop garlic, onion, tomatoes. Sprinkle with red wine vinegar and olive oil--add salt and Italian seasoning to taste. Add freshly minced basil about 2 hours before serving. ![]() |
