|  | The North Carolina Herb Association is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the production, marketing, and the use of herbs and herb related products through education and research. The activities of the association include:
- Sponsoring meetings or conventions of members of the association where they can interact with one another to their mutual benefit especially in regard to 1) business practices, marketing strategies and procedures; 2) federal and state laws regulations, mail order regulations and procedures, food and drug regulations; 3) cultivating and growing techniques; 4) interpretation, techniques and innovations in the use of various herbs.
- Sponsoring meetings open to the public to disseminate educational information on the use of herbs and herbal related products.
- Issuing a quarterly newsletter.
- Engaging in other activities appropriate to the purpose of the association and of interest to the membership.
- Promoting and encouraging high standards of conduct and quality products. Any individual, institution, business firm, or corporation of good character or reputation engaged in the business of growing or marketing herbs or hobbying with herbs and/or subscribing to the objects of the association may become a member.
- Engaging in other activities appropriate to the purpose of the association and of interest to the membership.
The Dues for joining the NCHA are $25.00 for Individuals and $35.00 for institutions or businesses. A family or household may constitute an individual membership. Each membership receives one newsletter and has one vote.
